Elon musk is trying to stop reliance jio company to establish his starlink network

KEYPOINTS:-

Musk has requested the Government of India to allow satellite-based broadband technologies in the country.

Musk wants to try his luck in the fast growing Indian telecom industry through satellite based internet service.

Starlink is eyeing in-flight internet, maritime services and rural customers in India.

Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is now eyeing India's telecom industry. His company Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) is planning to come to India through the Starlink project.

Musk wants to try his luck in the rapidly growing Indian telecommunications industry through 100 Mbps satellite based internet service.

According to sources, Musk has requested the Indian government to allow satellite-based broadband technologies in the country.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India released a consultation paper in August last year to promote broadband connectivity in the country.

In response, SpaceX's Satellite Government Affairs Patricia Cooper said that StarLink's high-speed satellite network will help in the goal of connecting all people in India with broadbank connectivity.

Whats the plan?

He said that his service will benefit all those remote people who are currently denied broadband service.

He also said that his service will be very cheap. Also, SpaceX may soon launch StarLink in India, provided TRAI accepts its recommendations.

The SpaceX's StarLink project is a group of satellites in low Earth orbit through which broadband Internet connections can be provided in remote areas of the world.

Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) has released more than 1000 satellites for Starlink Internet service.

The company is also signing on with customers in the US, UK and Canada. SpaceX has told investors that Starlink is eyeing in-flight internet, maritime services, demand and rural customers in India and China.

This entire market is worth one trillion dollars. For several months, SpaceX has been launching Starlink satellites with its Falcon 9 rockets. 60 satellites are being sent at one time.

The 17th Starlink launch took place on 20 January. The company has 960 satellite activites in Orbit. With this, SpaceX is set to launch large scale service in North American and UK. SpaceX did not respond to this.

Affordable service

Luigi Peluso, MD of Alvaraez & Marsal, a company that monitors aerospace and defense industries, said people are happy with the company's service.

The Starlink is serving people inexpensively. SpaceX has proven the practicality of its solutions. Last year, SpaceX Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell said that Starlink is a business that can be made public.

At Last year, Tesla Inc. was taken over by the market and Musk became the world's largest aristocrat with a surge in the company's shares.

The road is not easy!

If Stalink enters India, then it will have to compete strongly with Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio, which is preparing to launch 5G.

According to a Bank of America Global Research report, the Jio 4G rollout has proved to be a game changer for India's Internet sector.

It provided internet to users at affordable prices, leading to massive data usage. There are now around 65 million Internet users in India who use 12 GB of data per month on an average. Jio has increased the market size by providing data and services at affordable prices.

However, Starlink will face stiff competition in this field. Laying of fiber optic cables in remote areas is quite expensive.

The advent of 5G and then 6G is expected to revolutionize cellular connectivity. Companies such as Facebook Inc. are developing a number of innovative ways to deliver Internet services to remote areas.
